  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon curry powder
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Sear the chicken on each side until browned, about 6-8 minutes total.
  5. Add the garlic powder, sweet paprika, and curry powder, cooking for an additional minute.
  6. Pour in the tomato sauce and stir in the sugar. Let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, allowing the dish to simmer for another 10 minutes.
  8. Finish with the remaining tablespoon of butter and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, consider using smoked paprika instead of sweet paprika.
