Description

This easy monkey bread recipe transforms buttery biscuit dough and cinnamon-sugar into a warm, gooey treat that’s perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter (or use 1/2 cup for a lighter version)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare a deep-dish loaf pan by greasing it with butter.
  3. Break the biscuit dough into small balls, about the size of three tablespoons each.
  4. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a medium bowl.
  5. Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mix, coating evenly.
  6. Add the first layer of dough balls to the prepared pan and sprinkle with 1/8 cup of brown sugar.
  7. Layer the remaining dough balls on top, followed by the rest of the brown sugar.
  8. Melt the butter and pour it over the dough in the pan.
  9. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Prepare a glaze by mixing 1/4 cup of powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth.
  11. Pour the glaze over the monkey bread before serving.

Notes

Add pecans or walnuts for crunch, or dried fruits for texture. Adjust baking time based on biscuit brand.
