Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white fish (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Fish taco sauce, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Mix olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Coat the fish with the mixture.
  4. Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until flaky.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a skillet.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing fish, cabbage, pico de gallo, and avocado on each tortilla.

Notes

Let the fish marinate for 15-30 minutes for better flavor infusion. Warm tortillas in a damp cloth to soften them.
