Ingredients

  • 450g lean ground beef
  • 30g butter
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 230g brown mushrooms, minced
  • 30g ketchup
  • 240ml beef broth
  • 225g provolone cheese, chopped or shredded
  • 6 brioche hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Brown the lean ground beef in a hot pan. Once browned, remove the beef and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the diced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until browned.
  3. Mix the beef broth, ketchup, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Pour this mixture into the sautéed veggies and simmer until thickened.
  4. Return the beef to the pan and mix well.
  5. Turn off the heat and stir in the provolone cheese until melted.
  6. Butter and toast the brioche buns until golden.
  7. Fill the toasted buns with the cheesy beef mixture and serve warm.
