- 450g lean ground beef
- 30g butter
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 230g brown mushrooms, minced
- 30g ketchup
- 240ml beef broth
- 225g provolone cheese, chopped or shredded
- 6 brioche hamburger buns
Instructions
- Brown the lean ground beef in a hot pan. Once browned, remove the beef and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the diced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until browned.
- Mix the beef broth, ketchup, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Pour this mixture into the sautéed veggies and simmer until thickened.
- Return the beef to the pan and mix well.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the provolone cheese until melted.
- Butter and toast the brioche buns until golden.
- Fill the toasted buns with the cheesy beef mixture and serve warm.
Notes
For added depth of flavor, consider incorporating Worcestershire sauce or garlic powder, and customize with jalapeños for a spicy kick.
