Description

A comforting dish featuring savory ground beef, diced tomatoes, mixed vegetables, and a fluffy biscuit topping, all baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. Cut the biscuit dough into pieces and place on top of the beef mixture.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the biscuits.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a perfectly browned top, consider using the broiler for the last few minutes of baking.
