Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus additional ingredients according to package)
  • 1 quart ice cream (your favorite flavor)
  • 1 tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
  • Sprinkles or other toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the box instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Slice the cooled cake in half horizontally.
  3. Place one half in a round cake pan.
  4. Soften the ice cream slightly and spread it evenly over the cake layer.
  5. Place the second half of the cake on top of the ice cream.
  6. Frost the top and sides of the cake with whipped topping.
  7. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and add sprinkles if desired.
  8. Freeze the cake for at least 2-4 hours before serving.
