Description
A warm and flavorful gravy made from rotisserie chicken drippings, perfect for enhancing your meals.
Ingredients

- 1 whole rotisserie chicken
- 3 cups of water
- 3 tsp of chicken bouillon
- 3 tbsp of butter
- 3 tbsp of flour
- 1/4 onion
- 1 rib of celery
- 1 baby carrot
- Herbs of choice (rosemary and thyme recommended)
Instructions
- Scrape the drippings from the rotisserie chicken into a small pot.
- Remove the meat from the chicken bones and set the bones aside.
- Add 3 cups of water to the pot with the drippings and the reserved bones.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for at least 30 minutes.
- Consider adding a wedge of onion, celery, and carrot along with herbs for additional depth.
- Remove the bones and strain the stock for a smooth consistency.
- Combine butter and flour in a bowl, microwave for about 30 seconds, then stir into the stock.
- Add 3 tsp of chicken bouillon and bring to a boil while stirring.
- Remove from heat, shred the reserved chicken meat, and fold it into the gravy.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, biscuits, or egg noodles.
Notes
Adjust water for desired thickness; taste and adjust salt as needed.
