- 2 quarts ice cream (any flavor, softened)
- 1 container whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
- Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, or candy toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Bake the cake according to the package instructions in two round pans.
- Let the cakes cool completely.
- Line one of the cake pans with plastic wrap and place one cake layer inside.
- Spread a layer of softened ice cream over the cake, smoothing it evenly.
- Add the second cake layer on top of the ice cream layer.
- Freeze the cake for at least 240 minutes, or until firm.
- Remove from the pan and frost the cake with whipped topping.
- Decorate with sprinkles, chocolate syrup, or candy if desired.
- Return the cake to the freezer for 60-120 minutes before serving.
