Description

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts ice cream (any flavor, softened)
  • 1 container whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, or candy toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the package instructions in two round pans.
  2. Let the cakes cool completely.
  3. Line one of the cake pans with plastic wrap and place one cake layer inside.
  4. Spread a layer of softened ice cream over the cake, smoothing it evenly.
  5. Add the second cake layer on top of the ice cream layer.
  6. Freeze the cake for at least 240 minutes, or until firm.
  7. Remove from the pan and frost the cake with whipped topping.
  8. Decorate with sprinkles, chocolate syrup, or candy if desired.
  9. Return the cake to the freezer for 60-120 minutes before serving.
