Description

A comforting dish that combines the flavors of a cheeseburger with pasta for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
  • 1 pound ground beef (or substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
  • 6 slices bacon (cooked and crispy)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling water in a large pot and cook the short pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, stirring until well mixed and the meat is fully browned.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, then add the cream cheese and shredded sharp cheddar cheese into the skillet. Stir continuously until the cheeses melt into a creamy sauce.
  4. Incorporate the cooked pasta into the cheese mixture, blending everything together until the pasta is thoroughly coated.
  5. Finally, fold in the crispy bacon bits for that extra crunch and flavor.

Notes

For added flavor, mix in sautéed onions or bell peppers. For a kick, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
