Description

Classic New England style shrimp rolls featuring juicy shrimp, creamy mayonnaise, and a hint of lemon in soft toasted buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound jumbo wild-caught shrimp
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 hot dog buns or lobster rolls
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot of boiling water, cook the jumbo shrimp until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and let them cool.
  2. Chop the cooked shrimp into large chunks.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with mayonnaise, a squeeze of lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Heat butter in a skillet and toast the buns until golden brown.
  5. Stuff the shrimp mixture into the toasted buns and serve immediately.

Notes

Consider adding chopped celery or green onions for texture or fresh herbs like dill for complexity.
