- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (200 g)
- 1 cup milk (240 ml)

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (1 g)
- 8 lasagna noodles

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the ground beef or chicken to the skillet, cooking until browned and fully cooked.
- Pour in the barbecue sauce, mixing well with the meat and onion mixture.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.
- In a separate saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to form a roux, cooking for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in 1 cup of milk, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
- Season the sauce with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Add 2 cups of shredded cheddar and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Mix the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce.
- Boil the lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente, then drain.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, place a layer of lasagna noodles.
- Spread half of the meat mixture over the noodles.
- Layer half of the macaroni and cheese mixture on top.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella evenly over the macaroni layer.
- Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of mozzarella on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
