A hearty and flavorful combination of ground meat and tender potatoes, enhanced by aromatic spices.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2–3 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for another minute.
- Add the ground meat and cook until browned.
- Mix in chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
- Add diced potatoes and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
- Stir in garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
Serve hot with rice or bread. For added flavor, consider letting your onions caramelize slightly longer.
