- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2–3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1/2 cup spinach or bok choy (optional)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon chili oil or red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add garlic and ginger to the pot, then sauté until fragrant, about one minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and add soy sauce. Stir well.
- Allow the broth to come to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Carefully add frozen potstickers to the broth. Let them cook for about 5-6 minutes.
- If using, stir in sliced mushrooms and greens into the soup.
- Let everything simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and rice vinegar if using.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use high-quality broth and fresh ingredients when possible. Consider adding chili oil for a spicy kick.
