Description

Delicious prawn lobster rolls made with langostino and creamy mayonnaise, served in toasted brioche buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces langostino tails, thawed if frozen
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise, divided
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
  • 4 split-top hot dog buns (brioche preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter (or olive oil or ghee)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the langostino tails dry.
  2. Combine the langostino tails with half the mayonnaise and chopped chives.
  3. If you choose to make the garlic sauce, combine the minced garlic, remaining mayonnaise, lemon juice, and sea salt in another bowl.
  4. Butter both sides of each split-top bun generously.
  5. Heat a pan over medium heat and toast the buns for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove the buns from the pan and fill with the langostino salad.

Notes

For added flavor, consider experimenting with different herbs or types of buns.
