Description

A nostalgic and comforting dish featuring ground beef, cream, and mushrooms served over egg noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard; bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce the heat and stir in sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
  7. Serve the beef stroganoff over the egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. You can also mix different mushrooms for a more complex flavor.
