A flavorful roasted broccoli dish enhanced with garlic and parmesan, transforming a simple vegetable into a delicious side.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of broccoli (or 2 medium), chopped into florets (approx. 340g / 12 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (juice of about ½ a lemon)
  • 25 grams (¼ cup) grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) fan and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets, rinse under cold water, and pat dry.
  3. Place the broccoli florets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the broccoli, then sprinkle garlic salt and black pepper.
  5. Pour lemon juice over the florets and toss everything together to coat.
  6. Spread the florets in a single layer and sprinkle grated parmesan on top.
  7. Roast the broccoli in the oven for 15-18 minutes or until tender and edges are golden brown.
  8. Serve hot, optionally drizzled with hot sauce for extra heat.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the broccoli before roasting. Fresh ingredients yield the best results.
