- 1 large head of broccoli (or 2 medium), chopped into florets (approx. 340g / 12 oz)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (juice of about ½ a lemon)
- 25 grams (¼ cup) grated parmesan
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) fan and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets, rinse under cold water, and pat dry.
- Place the broccoli florets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over the broccoli, then sprinkle garlic salt and black pepper.
- Pour lemon juice over the florets and toss everything together to coat.
- Spread the florets in a single layer and sprinkle grated parmesan on top.
- Roast the broccoli in the oven for 15-18 minutes or until tender and edges are golden brown.
- Serve hot, optionally drizzled with hot sauce for extra heat.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the broccoli before roasting. Fresh ingredients yield the best results.
