- 5 pounds (680 g) Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and yellow leaves removed
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Collect all the necessary items. Set your oven to a temperature of 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
- Put the prepared Brussels sprouts, vegetable oil, kosher salt, and black pepper into a large resealable plastic bag. Close it tightly and shake well to ensure everything is coated.
- Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and position it on the middle rack of the oven.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, making sure to shake the pan every 5 to 7 minutes to achieve even browning. Lower the temperature if needed to avoid burning. The Brussels sprouts should be a very dark brown, nearly black when finished. Add more kosher salt if needed.
