Description

A delightful dish of tender chicken and savory noodles coated in a sweet and sticky garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes to create the sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the coated chicken to the skillet and cook until golden and cooked through, approximately 6–8 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat thoroughly. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  7. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything to combine well with the sauce and chicken.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired before serving.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, allow it to simmer longer or increase cornstarch. Use fresh ginger and garlic for best flavor.
