Description

A warm, creamy dip made with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and a blend of cheeses, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 8-10 minutes until browned and tender. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Add cream cheese and sour cream to the skillet, stirring until melted and fully combined.
  4. Stir in half of the shredded mozzarella and all the grated Parmesan. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top and transfer skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and serve hot with bread, crackers, or veggie sticks.

Notes

Consider adding spices for extra flavor, and serve freshly garnished with herbs for a beautiful presentation.
