Description

Creamy, delightful deviled eggs are a holiday staple that brings joy and nostalgia to family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh sage for garnish
  • Fresh thyme for garnish
  • Paprika for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs: Place them in a pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs in cold water to prevent overcooking.
  3. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a bowl.
  4. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  6. Garnish with fresh sage and thyme, and optionally sprinkle paprika on top.
  7. Serve chilled.

Notes

Cover the pot while boiling for even cooking. For a creamier filling, add extra mayonnaise.
